Birdie

As you can see (the person behind her isn't very visible, but she's back there!), Birdie loves to have her belly scratched. Just like a dog, she stretches that back leg out to give easy access

Lady Bird is very social and willing to learn and is currently being worked with on learning to lunge, etc.  She stands well for the farrier and leads, she loaded fairly well for the first time leaving IHR SW and coming to IHR South.Lady Bird aka "Birdie" was born on Kentucky Derby day(5/2/09) and was named after the winner, Mine That Bird. She is an Arabian/Quarter Horse cross. She is such a happy little filly who loves to get out and play and kick up her heels from time to time. She likes to bother the other horses by drinking out of their water buckets as she walks by their stalls. Birdie has started leading with a butt rope and is doing very well with the idea. She doesn't like the idea of a halter but once its on her she's fine with it. Birdie loves to play with things like her water and feed buckets and jolly balls! Watch for updates as little filly grows up and continues to learn!
